In Poison Parcheesi and wine, no one has more fun than four friends who run a clever business by day and tally domino pips by night. Amy Sparks owns Tiddlywinks Players Club in the zany tourist town of Bluff Springs, where the game is always afoot.
While the Who's Who of Arkansas tourism is in Bluff Springs for a conference, a wine merchant husband is found dead. Amy is drawn into the mystery, along with Genna and her politician. With so much at risk, our sleuth is driven to uncover the secrets that surround the Arkansas wine country before another husband falls prey.
Who killed the husband?
The wife and her friends with their iron-clad alibi? Genna’s political candidate? A group of wine enthusiasts called the Cork Docs? A high school jock with unrequited love, or a sommelier-in-training with a caseload of secrets? Everyone had something to gain.
As the friends of the Cardboard Cottage scatter like players on a Parcheesi board, Amy needs to solve the mystery and bring them safely to Home Square before the game gets ruined by the poison in the wine.

“The Big European Tour of Arkansas has officially begun, my friends. We’ll get that boy to Capitol Hill if it kills us,” Genna claimed to her friends poolside.
“The big European what?” Rian asked.
“I’m taking my candidate on a back-to-your-roots political stump tour," Genna answered between slurps of a Sunday Mary. "We’ll stop at all the towns in his district named after European cities. Too bad we can’t go by train. A stump speech from a red caboose would be the cherry on top.”
Amy grinned from beneath her hat. It was one of those floppy summer hats that kept the sun off her freckles and made a bit of shade on her shoulders under a mid-day sun. She felt like bacon crisping on a griddle.
“If everything goes as planned, I’ll get a picture of the governor with Jerry Glen Villiger, and maybe we can finagle one with you, too," Genna said with vigor. "If everything goes as planned, that is. And why wouldn’t it?”
What could possibly go wrong with a plan like that? Amy raised an eyebrow at Genna. Did anything go as planned when the four of them were together? Not much chance of that. Maybe not even a fifty-fifty chance.
Poison Parcheesi and Wine is a good mystery where friendship rules
