The term vanity press refers to the publishing journey when a fiction or non-fiction author pays to have their work published.  Services usually include copy editing, cover and interior design, catalogue and metadata administration, printing, and end-user distribution. The final product is usually a printed book, e-book, or audio creation. 

Custom publishing refers to the works of business and industry. The end product may be a book, magazine, collateral, or other work used to establish market and brand position. Services typically include project consultation, research, writing, and editing, as well as services needed  for final production. 

Both are paid-for services. 

First, congratulations! Writing a book is a huge accomplishment regardless of what happens next. By definition, a best-selling author is one who reaches a certain number of book sales on a specific day -- usually book launch day -- and incorporates sales from all established purchasing networks. To be candid, that number is rarely achieved by independent or vanity press authors. It's not impossible, but even traditionally published authors don't always reach that level of sales success. That should not keep you from sharing your story in every avenue available to you. You can, however, be confident that we will make sure your book is the best you can offer and is marketable to readers.
