Who doesn't want a little author gossip in their lives? Inside the mind of a mystery writer is an interesting place. Sometimes not. Either way, Jane's monthly gossip newsletter is full of it. Book news, merch news, book signings, work in progress, travel, games, contests, writer reflections.
The only thing more thrilling than typing Chapter One typing The End. Everything else in between is almost a blur of joy. Read Jane's October gossip for book 5 Cover Reveal!
Every day is an adventure when the Arkansas 4 jump back in time to solve a cold case murder. Amy, Zelda, Genna and Rian explore the powerful women who lived in the 1920s era.
Autumn, I'm talking about. Are we out of the sweltering, soul sucking heat and headed for crisp temps and golden leaves?
This month the Arkansas 4 take a road trip and Jane makes a murder board for book #5!
I need an escape from reality these days, so I'm hunting fact and fashion in the 1920s, as I plot and plan for Ouija and Haints and the husbands who don't make it our of their marriages alive. Join me?
Back in my writing hideaway
I feel like I've just gotten off a roller coaster that rode every hill and dale of the Ozarks promoting book 4. Y'all are really something special!
So much to celebrate in May! Mother's Day tops the list. Happy Mother's Day to all of those heroic people who serve to nature and nurture the young and clueless. We salute you!
Slainte to all my friends, peers, and readers who help bring this day to fruition. Please remember to celebrate every day with your good friends and best family.
Catch one if you're in town for the St. Patrick's Day parade. The QR code on the back of the toe tag (yes, a toe tag) takes you to a secret webpage. Take a quick trip to Ireland with me!
As giddy and grossed out as we felt with that first game of Spin the Bottle, we were participating in a ritual -- the kiss -- that some scholars claim is more the 4,500 years old. Here are some kiss facts you might not know!
It feels like a magic endeavor. A rabbit out the hat. I put on my writer hat and spend nearly a year at the keyboard penning the tale. And then I put on my publisher hat and manage 5 MILLION TRILLION details.
Since we gossiped last, I've gone down the rabbit hole in my writing studio for eight solid months, traveled down memory lane in Ireland, put together 80,000 pretty gosh-darn good words of a story, and emerged on the other side relatively sober and sane.
Wherever you live, take a walk through the gardens in full bloom, paddle a river a lake or a pond, camp, fish, have fun!
That's what I'm doing when I'm not writing on Killer Croquet on the Emerald Isle, book 4 in the Cardboard Cottage Mystery series.
Taking San Diego by Storm
Jane and the Arkansas 4 are hobnobbing with the California crowd this week at the IBPA Publishing conference. We're even meeting up with Eddie Gamara (yes, we're name dropping) at Paramount. Who do you think should play the Arkansas 4 in the movie?
The year 2024 is the year of the Dragon! It's a time for creativity and new ideas. Don't let it all go to your head like Smaug, though. Stay down-to-earth and avoid being arrogant or greedy. If you're looking at your wallet, prosperity could be on its way.
